Audrey Resnicow

Education & Research Intern

Audrey began her career studying Animal Science at University of Maryland and spent about 5 years working in veterinary medicine. She built a strong foundation of animal biology and behavior, gaining experience with a wide variety of species in diverse settings, from small animal clinics to primates at NIH. Her passion for animal welfare and desire to create meaningful change ultimately led her to pursue a career in wildlife conservation, starting with a certificate program at Colorado State University, and a year-long apprenticeship at a bird rehabilitation center in the Florida Keys.

Audrey then made the cross-country journey from Florida to San Juan Island to join Salish Wildlife Rescue, where she combines wildlife rehab with environmental education to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world. As a Maryland native living on the West Coast for the first time, she is excited to explore the beauty and biodiversity of Washington!
