Emalyne Babcock

Rehabilitation Intern

Emalyne grew up on orcas island and is now studying ecology and biology at Western Washington University. She was a member of the Orcas Island Youth Conservation Corps for 2 years, participating in island restoration, trail building, and invasive species removal. She loves hiking with her dog Cody, and was an assistant dog agility instructor through Orcas Island dog club. Emalyne has volunteered with the Animal Protection Society on Orcas for over ten years! Emalyne also has experience with farm animals and participated in 4-h growing u0p, working with various animals of all shapes and sizes.

She is heavily involved in community conservation, and hopes to combine her wildlife/canine passions to one day study the coastal wolf population of BC.
