Seasonal Wildlife Rehabilitation Technician

Emily graduated from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Science. She has spent the majority of her career in marine science and animal care, with specific interest and expertise in marine wildlife. Her animal care career spans 17 years and counting. She has worked in volunteer placements, internships, and been employed in a variety of settings such as, animal rescues (marine, wildlife, and domestic), aquariums, zoos, routine and emergency veterinary practices, and on research projects. Emily has called Friday Harbor home since 2021, when she, her partner, and their cat made the cross-country trek to relocate here from Baltimore, MD. In her time as a year-round San Juan Islander, she has worked with SR3, San Juan Island Naturalist Program, Animal Protection Society – Friday Harbor, her own pet care business, and San Juan Island Brewing Company.
